WERiSE envisions a future where the energy burdens are reduced for those most impacted by the high cost of energy bills. We strive to Weatherize Every Residence in the Southeast and beyond.
WERiSE’s mission is to launch a movement for home energy efficiency by teaching practical home energy renovation improvements. Through this work, we aim to improve the economic well being and personal health of families and communities while helping to slow climate change.

GRID Alternatives brings solar power and clean energy training directly into communities that need it most. By installing renewable energy systems for underserved households and providing hands-on training for local trainees, GRID creates pathways to careers in the clean energy economy while reducing energy costs for families.
In partnership with LBC, GRID is building an on-site solar lab and classroom that will serve as a hub for practical learning, community engagement, and workforce development, helping turn sustainability into action that benefits both people and the planet.

Breaking Barriers Graduation
In 2023, LBC partnered with community, nonprofit, and educational organizations to launch Breaking Barriers Through Deconstruction, a paid green workforce training program designed for individuals facing barriers to employment.
Participants gain hands-on experience and industry-recognized certifications, preparing them for long-term, living-wage careers in deconstruction, construction, remodeling, and facility management.
