COVID-19: CHANGES TO LBC OPERATIONS

Out of concern for the safety of our customers, clients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lifecycle Building Center’s daily operations have been significantly modified. Please know that we are working diligently to roll out our new operational procedures as quickly as possible. We deeply appreciate your patience and support during this difficult time.

Reuse Center & Store: 

In-person or Online

Shop In-person By Appointment

LBC has resumed in-person shopping by appointment ONLY. Schedule a shopping appointment HERE. We are following CDC recommendations to minimize risk to our employees and our customers. LBC’s staff members undergo a daily wellness screening process and wear a face mask and gloves. All high-contact areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly. 

 

 Health and Safety Reminders for Shopping at LBC  

  • Do not visit LBC if you are experiencing a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19

  • Face masks are required to shop in person

  • Stay at least 6 feet from others

  • Only accepting cashless payment methods

  • Limit number of shoppers to 2 max & attend to children at all times

  • Our restroom is closed to the public.

Step by Step Guide to Shopping In-person

  • Schedule a shopping appointment HERE. 

    • Appointments are available Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm.

  • A confirmation of your appointment with instructions will be sent to you via email and text.

    • A maximum of two individuals will be permitted to shop during your appointment.​

  • ​​Upon arrival for your shopping appointment, please call 404-997-3873 to notify us that you have arrived and a staff member will escort you through the gate and into the parking lot.    

    • Wellness stations with hand sanitizer are located throughout the store and we now offer a “contactless” checkout process, including a glass partition separating customers from the LBC staff member at the register.​

    • Please also note that, at this time, our staff will not be able to assist with loading materials.

Material Donation Services:

 Drop Offs, Pickups, Deconstruction

LBC is resuming material donation services via a “no contact” drop off, pickup, & deconstruction. All services must be done by appointment only.

  • Drop Offs- All materials need to be pre-approved & an appointment scheduled before drop off. At this time, all donors are responsible for unloading materials.

  • Pick-up- Contactless pickups are available on a limited basis for materials that can be placed outside, curbside, or in an unoccupied area such as a garage.  At this time, LBC staff cannot enter homes or occupied structures.

  • Deconstruction- Projects will be accepted on a VERY limited basis. At this time, only unoccupied structures will be considered.

Nonprofit Material MATCH Program

LBC’s Nonprofit Material MATCH Program is accepting material grant applications at this time; for more information or to apply, visit us HERE.

 

Until further notice, please also be aware of the following changes:

  • Communication and material selection will be done remotely.

  • Please provide as much detail as possible when submitting your material request. Please also note that, initially, awarded materials may be limited to items that can be loaded by a single individual.

  • Upon receiving notification that your grant request has been approved, you will need to schedule an appointment to pick up your awarded materials via our curbside pickup process. At this time, our staff will not be able to assist with loading materials.

Our top priority throughout this ordeal has been, and will continue to be, the health and safety of our staff, customers, material donors and volunteers. Every aspect of LBC's operations has been reevaluated and retooled in response to local, state and federal social distancing guidelines.
