COVID-19: CHANGES TO LBC OPERATIONS

Updated as of [May 27, 2020]

Out of concern for the safety of our customers, clients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lifecycle Building Center’s daily operations have been significantly modified. Please know that we are working diligently to roll out our new operational procedures as quickly as possible. We deeply appreciate your patience and support during this difficult time.

Reuse Center & Store:

In-person or Online

Shop In-person By Appointment

Beginning Tuesday June 2nd, LBC is resuming in-person shopping by appointment ONLY. Schedule a shopping appointment HERE. Please do not visit LBC if you are experiencing a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19. We are following CDC recommendations to minimize risk to our employees and our customers.

We respectfully ask that customers use social distancing guidelines when shopping by allowing at least 6 feet of space between each person. If needed, we may limit the number of customers allowed inside the store at any given time. We encourage our customers to use their own face mask, and we have face masks available upon request. LBC’s staff members undergo a daily wellness screening process and wear a face mask and gloves. All high-contact areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Currently our restroom is closed to the public.

Step by Step Guide to Shopping In-person

  • Schedule a shopping appointment HERE.

    • Appointments are available Tuesday-Friday 9:30am-3:30pm.

  • A confirmation of your appointment with instructions will be sent to you via email and text.

    • A maximum of two individuals will be permitted to shop during your appointment.

  • Upon arrival for your shopping appointment, please call 404-997-3873 to notify us that you have arrived and a staff member will escort you through the gate and into the parking lot.

    • Wellness stations with hand sanitizer and gloves are located throughout the store and we now offer a “contactless” checkout process, including a glass partition separating customers from the LBC staff member at the register.

    • Please also note that, at this time, our staff will not be able to assist with loading materials.

Shop Online with Curbside Pickup

A limited portion of our inventory is also available for purchase on our new Online Store. After purchase, a time can be set for curbside pickup of your items. Currently we are only listing inventory items that can be loaded by a single individual. We will continue to add more inventory items frequently, so please continue to check back and see what additional items we have available.

Step-by-Step Guide for Online Shopping

  • Shop a selection of our inventory online HERE.

  • After your online purchase is complete, you will receive two emails; the first email will be a notification that your order has been accepted, and the second email will be sent by an LBC staff member to let you know that your purchased items are ready for pickup.

    • Please be aware that it could take up to 2 days for you to receive these followup emails since we do not currently have staff working on the weekend.

    • Curbside pick-up is available by appointment only Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4pm. At this time, our staff will not be able to assist with loading materials.

  • Upon arrival for your appointment to pick up your purchased items, please park in front of the Reuse Center and call 404-997-3873 to notify us that you have arrived. At this time, customers will not enter through the gate into our main parking lot.

Material Donation Services:

 Drop Offs, Pickups, Deconstruction

Material donation services will resume mid-June via a “no contact” drop off, pickup, & deconstruction. All services must be done by appointment only.

  • Drop Offs- All materials need to be pre-approved & an appointment scheduled before drop off. At this time, all donors are responsible for unloading materials.

  • Pick-up- Contactless pickups are available on a limited basis for materials that can be placed outside, curbside, or in an unoccupied area such as a garage.  At this time, LBC staff cannot enter homes or occupied structures.

  • Deconstruction- Projects will be accepted on a VERY limited basis. At this time, only unoccupied structures will be considered.
